Porter Crockard

Since enthusiastically joining AMS in 2019 from a ski mountaineering and climbing background, Porter has guided a variety of trips for the school. His enthusiasm for climbing and skiing, coupled with his natural leadership style brings a contagious joy to the trips he guides. Along with a BA degree in Environmental Studies, Porter attended the International Wilderness Leadership School in Jackson, WY for mountaineering, rock, and ice guide trainings. While there, he received the Rookie of the Year Scholarship. When not guiding for AMS or elsewhere, he can be found ice and rock climbing all over the world, including Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Cayambe, Rainier, the Tetons, Granite Peak, and Cleveland South East.
