Matt Schiffner

Originally from the Chicago area, Matt made his way to Alaska in 2019. He began his guiding career as a sea kayak guide before coming to AMS to intern in 2022. He has guided and taught numerous courses and climbs in the Alaska Range for AMS. In the winter, Matt is a ski patroller at Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, Alaska. When not in Talkeetna during the summer, Matt can be found in Valdez either out on a kayak, exploring in the mountains, or practicing his Spanish.
